Pinwheel Farm comprises nearly 12 acres in northern Douglas County, Kansas, just outside the city limits of Lawrence, within the Kansas River Valley. Since 1995, Natalya Lowther has held this space to raise sheep, vegetables, and chickens, and to allow a natural ecosystem to replace the previous conventional crop production system that plowed 10 acres of the land every year.
